Applied Physics & Acoustics Research Group
The Applied Physics & Acoustics Research Group of the Engineering Department of the University of Ferrara has been active for several years in several fields of acoustics, concerning sound and vibration propagation. In particular, research is carried out in the areas of: building and environmental acoustics, architectural acoustics, psychoacoustics, sound power measurement and characterization of the mechanical and acoustic properties of materials. Research activities are both developed in the context of national and international research projects and contributing to the transfer of technology through several collaboration with the industrial sector. . The Acoustics and Vibration Laboratory is part of MechLav - Laboratory for Advanced Mechanics of Ferrara Technopole - operating within the High Technology Network of Emilia Romagna: Materials Mechanics platform. The Technopole of Ferrara is the complex of industrial research laboratories and technological transfer in which even the smallest of factories can find competent research and try out new production techniques, more efficient materials and innovative products MechLav, established in 2010, is a laboratory specifically dedicated to industrial research, technological services to the industrial sector and the transfer of technology, methodologies and solutions for in industrial and productive applications. MechLav, thanks to highly qualified staff, offers solutions and services in the fields of Mechanical, Computer and Vibro-Acoustic Engineering. .
